Sibiu Olimpia pool undergoes 7 million euro modernization

Modernization works are underway at the Olimpia swimming pool in Sibiu, Romania. The project involves a radical transformation of the existing sports base rather than a simple renovation. The infrastructure is being reconstructed to meet current standards, including the demolition of old pools and the removal of the roof.

The estimated investment is approximately 7 million euros, with an expected execution period of about 15 months. Key features of the new facility will include a semi-olympic pool with six lanes and a modernized diving area equipped with two 10-meter platforms. The goal is to enable the venue to host international diving competitions and provide accommodation for athletes.
