SIC telenovela Vitória to premiere on Canadian OMNI Television

The Portuguese broadcaster SIC has secured a deal to bring its telenovela ‘Vitória’ to Canada. The series is scheduled to premiere on OMNI Television this November, following the channel's previous broadcasts of ‘Broken Promise’ and ‘The Last Will’.

Adapted from the Turkish series ‘Gülperi’ by TIMS and Global Agency, ‘Vitória’ follows a woman’s struggle to reclaim her children and expose her criminal father-in-law, Manuel Mendonça, after serving time in prison.

This distribution marks a significant milestone for SIC International Distribution, as the production utilizes a multi-platform release strategy. The series is available on Opto and Disney+ before its linear broadcast on SIC. The announcement comes as SIC prepares for MIPCOM 2026, where the company will present a restructured version of the series consisting of three seasons with 77, 39, and 24 episodes respectively.
