SiCalidad launches technical training program in Paraguay
The SiCalidad Paraguay initiative has launched the ‘Programa Élite de Formación Competitiva’ (Elite Competitive Training Program) to strengthen technical capacities regarding quality infrastructure in Paraguay. The program offers specialized, free training to participants from the public, private, and academic sectors.
Implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and funded by the European Union under the Global Gateway strategy, the project is supported by Paraguay’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The initiative aims to improve how companies demonstrate compliance with requirements for quality, food safety, sustainability, traceability, and technical standards, which are essential for competing in national and international markets.
The training will be conducted through in-person, virtual, and hybrid modalities over a four-year period. The curriculum was developed based on a diagnostic of specific needs identified by stakeholders. Initial training offerings include ‘Verification and Validation of Food Testing Methods’ for technical evaluators and specialists.
