Sichuan rescue teams search for missing 93-year-old man

A 93-year-old man surnamed Deng went missing in the mountainous terrain of Sizhong County, Sichuan Province, China, after heading into the mountains alone on July 2. His family initially believed he was following his routine, but concerns grew when he failed to return home.

Local search and rescue teams in the Xinqiao area were deployed to navigate the difficult landscape, which is characterized by high mountains and dense forests. Due to the challenges of searching in the dark and the rugged terrain, authorities deployed drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras and lighting equipment to detect heat signatures and locate the elderly man.
