Sicily and Rai partner for major holiday television broadcasts

The Sicily Region and the national broadcaster Rai have implemented a communication agreement for the 2026-2027 biennium aimed at promoting the island's cultural and artistic heritage. Under this protocol, Palermo will be the central focus for major holiday broadcasts on Rai1.

On December 25, Alberto Angela will host a special episode of ‘Stanotte a…’ in Palermo. To fund this specific production, the Schifani administration has reallocated 80,000 euros from other planned promotional activities, including segments for ‘Rai Porte Aperte’, ‘Uno Mattina’, and various radio slots.

Additionally, Palermo is scheduled to host the New Year's Eve broadcast ‘L’anno che verrà’ on December 31, 2026. The broader agreement includes promotional coverage across various Rai formats such as ‘Linea Verde’, ‘Geo’, and ‘Ballando con le Stelle’ to boost tourism both domestically and internationally.
