Sicily announces university vouchers and economic bonuses

The Sicily Region has launched several economic support initiatives for residents. A new program provides 12 million euros in vouchers to support graduates pursuing first or second-level master's degrees in Italy or abroad. Applications for these non-repayable grants open on October 19, 2026, and run until November 18, 2026. Funding amounts vary by program: 7,000 euros for first-level masters, 20,000 euros for one-year second-level masters, and 30,000 euros for second-level masters lasting at least 18 months.

Additionally, various other economic bonuses remain active in the region. The ‘Carta Dedicata a te’ provides 500 euros to approximately 190,000 beneficiaries in Sicily. Beneficiaries must activate their cards by November 4, 2026, and complete their first purchase by December 16, 2026, to avoid losing the benefit. Other available supports include the ISCRO bonus, which has approximately 38,000 potential beneficiaries in the region.
