Sicily businesses to protest rising fuel costs

Farmers and artisans in Sicily are organizing to protest rising fuel costs. An assembly promoted by the Movimento Diritti Agricoli (M.D.A.) is scheduled for September 17 in Marina di Ragusa. The meeting expects over 100 participants from various provinces to discuss the economic burden that fuel prices place on productive sectors, particularly agriculture and craftsmanship, where logistics and transport are essential.

Organizers state that increasing costs threaten the continuity of business operations and the financial stability of families. The assembly aims to provide a platform for workers to voice their difficulties and discuss potential initiatives to address the economic challenges facing Sicilian enterprises.
