Sicily healthcare crisis sparks political mobilization and local protests

In Scoglitti, Mayor Francesco Aiello has announced a ‘White Night for Healthcare’ scheduled for August 29 in Piazza Cavour. The initiative aims to highlight chronic issues in local medical assistance and demand accountability from institutions. Aiello has requested a formal meeting between mayors from the Vittoria, Comiso, and Acate health district and Giuseppe Drago, the Director General of the ASP of Ragusa. Local associations are calling for a non-partisan approach to the crisis, emphasizing that public health should transcend political affiliations.
