Sicily honors regional excellence through various cultural awards

Two different award ceremonies in Sicily have honored individuals for their contributions to the region's culture, law, and professional excellence.

In Carlentini, the XXI edition of the “Leone d’Argento” national prize will present the “Francesco Favara Adorni” award to four recipients: journalist Emma D’Aquino, actress Margareth Madè, prosecutor Andrea Palmieri, and sand artist Stefania Bruno. The ceremony is scheduled for September 12, 2026, and aims to recognize personalities who promote Sicilian identity through their professional work.

Meanwhile, the tenth edition of the “Riviera dei Marmi” prize was held in Custonaci. The awards, which include marble sculptures, were presented to Gaetano Armao, Silvia Bongiorno, Marcello Mangia, and Nadia Terranova. The recipients represent diverse fields including law, business, tourism, and literature, highlighting the professional and cultural value produced within Sicily.
