Sicily hosts automotive expo and tourism promotion events

Palermo will host the Mobility Expo by SM from October 23 to 25 at Piazza Castelnuovo. Organized by Sicilia Motori with the support of the Municipality of Palermo, the event focuses on automotive innovation, road safety, and sustainable mobility. Participating brands include BYD, Chery, Fiat, Honda, Kia, Lancia, Mazda, and others, represented by various official dealerships.

The expo will feature technological displays, research initiatives, and historical exhibitions, including the Heritage Red Carpet for vintage cars. The University of Palermo will also participate, showcasing a Formula SAE single-seater. Additionally, the event will include a roundtable discussion regarding the future of urban mobility.

Separately, the Sicilian Regional Government is participating in the TTG Travel Experience 2026 in Rimini from October 14 to 16. The regional tourism department aims to present its 2027 promotional strategies, focusing on diversifying tourism offerings to reduce seasonal peaks. Key areas of focus include cycle tourism, archaeological sites, and gastronomy to encourage travel to inland areas and throughout the year.
