Sicily hosts international summit for surveyors and real estate experts

Sicily has become an international hub for the surveying profession, hosting a series of events from October 13 to 16 focused on the evolution of the profession and real estate assets. The proceedings began in Catania with the National Assembly of Presidents of Provincial Colleges of Geometers and Graduate Geometers.

The agenda centers on Italian experiences regarding real estate and cadastral sectors, addressing the growing economic and social importance of housing issues across Europe. The event features participation from national leaders, such as Paolo Biscaro of the National Council of Geometers, and international representatives, including the President of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), Diane Dumashie.

Other participating international bodies include the European Group of Surveyors (EGOS) and the European Council of Geometers and Experts in Topography (CLGE). Local institutional support is provided by the Sicilian Regional Assembly and the municipality of Catania.
