Sicily hosts major cultural events including Dante's Inferno and Agricantus

Sicily is hosting several major cultural events this summer, highlighted by the popular outdoor production of Dante’s ‘Inferno’ at the Gole dell’Alcantara. Directed by Giovanni Anfuso and produced by Buongiorno Sicilia, the performance utilizes the natural landscape of the gorge as an integral part of the work. The production is nearing its conclusion, with the final performance scheduled for September 6.

In Marsala, the musical group Agricantus performed at Villa Genna as part of the ‘’A Scurata’ rassegna. Their project, ‘E. A. R. – Elektron Akoustikòs Riza’, blends ancient roots with contemporary electronic music to explore Mediterranean identity. The cultural season continues with a final event planned for September 6 in Marettimo.
