Sicily hosts major education summits in Palermo and Trapani

Sicily is hosting major educational initiatives focused on student orientation and the future of the regional school system. In Palermo, the “La Sicilia fa Scuola – Stati Generali dell’Istruzione” event is being held at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa. This two-day regional summit, promoted by the Regional Department of Education and Training in collaboration with the Regional School Office for Sicily and INDIRE, aims to analyze the achievements of the Sicilian school system and establish guidelines for future education. The event expects over 4,000 participants, including approximately 3,000 students and delegations from more than 200 schools.

Simultaneously, in Trapani, an orientation initiative was held at the Chiostro di San Domenico. This campus event allowed high school students to interact with 23 national educational entities, including various universities such as the University of Palermo, Kore of Enna, and institutions from Ferrara, Trento, and Urbino. The program included workshops and talks designed to connect students with higher education, technological institutes, and professional opportunities in sectors ranging from technology to sustainable mobility.
