Sicily hosts Taormina Cocktail Week and Etnabook festival

Sicily is hosting two distinct cultural events this September. The second edition of the Taormina Cocktail Week will take place from September 17 to 20. Organized by Annalisa Testa, the event features 17 venues, including luxury hotels and historic bars, participating in a distributed circuit of mixology. This year’s theme, ‘Stories from a Book,’ aims to bridge literature and cocktail making, with bartenders using ingredients and techniques to reinterpret classic and contemporary literary works.

Separately, the eighth edition of Etnabook, an international book and culture festival, will be held in Catania from September 23 to 27. Centered on the theme ‘Collega-menti’ (Connections), the festival focuses on building links between people, ideas, and cultures. The program includes EtnaKids for children, workshops through Etna Lab, and the Expo Pedara Corner. The event will commence with an awards ceremony on September 23 to present the winners of the Etnabook Literary Prize.
