Sicily hosts upcoming street food and culinary festivals

Sicily is hosting two major culinary events this autumn. In Catania, ‘Catania da Mangiare – Il Festival’ is set to debut on October 29 at Piazza Scammacca. The festival will feature ten thematic gastronomic areas, including street food, pizza, pastry, and traditional gelato. The event aims to transition a social media community into a real-world experience, allowing the public to sample specialties and vote for their favorite gastronomic category.

Meanwhile, the eighth edition of the Messina Street Food Fest will take place from October 15 to 18 in Piazza Cairoli. Organized by Eventivamente in partnership with the Municipality of Messina, the festival will showcase regional Italian delicacies. This year’s edition introduces a ‘starred’ taste house featuring specialties from renowned chefs, alongside show cooking demonstrations by master chefs and gelato makers.
