Sicily initiatives promote digital education and community training

In Palermo, Corecom Sicilia is participating in the ‘Logos – Parole dal Mediterraneo’ event to promote digital education. Through the presentation of the ‘Abbecedario della Media Education’, the organization aims to teach students how to navigate the internet safely, recognize online risks, and understand digital citizenship. President Andrea Peria emphasized the importance of providing young people with the tools to grasp digital opportunities while avoiding the dangers of unconscious web usage.

Meanwhile, the municipality of Melilli has launched ‘CIVITAS CURA – Comunicare, comprendere, servire’, a permanent training laboratory designed to foster community growth. Unlike traditional internal training, this multidisciplinary program is open to municipal employees, local professionals, businesses, and citizens. The initiative features experts from various fields, including psychology, journalism, and law, with an inaugural focus on human authenticity in the era of Artificial Intelligence.
