Sicily Launches Kiklos Festival and Hosts Festino Puppet Show in Palermo

The traditional Festino celebration continues with a puppet‑theatre performance at Teatro Kemonia in Palermo on 22 July. Franco Cuticchio’s company presents “A Santuzza ri Palermo,” dramatizing Saint Rosalia’s 1624 miracle that freed the city from plague. Admission is free while seats last; regular daily shows cost €10 for adults and €8 for reduced rates.

At the same time, the new Kiklos – Festival of Errant Arts and Thought – opened with a preview in Blufi on 31 July and will hold its first edition on 22‑23 August in Isnello, in the Madonie mountains. The two‑day program features street theatre, contemporary circus and public discussions, showcasing Sicilian and international artists. The festival is directed by Mario Barnaba, Stefania Soldano and Virgilio Rattoballi and is supported by the municipalities of Blufi and Isnello.
