Sicily launches master's degree voucher program for graduates

The Sicilian Region is launching a voucher program to support graduates pursuing first or second-level university master's degrees in Italy or abroad. Starting Monday, October 19, 2026, eligible residents who have lived in Sicily for at least 12 months can apply through a dedicated digital platform.

The initiative is funded by 12 million euros from the PR Sicilia FSE+ 2021-2027 program, distributed over three years. The grants are non-repayable contributions intended to cover enrollment fees.

Funding amounts vary based on the type of program: • First-level master's: 7,000 euros. • One-year second-level master's (Italy or abroad): 20,000 euros. • Second-level master's of 18 months or longer (Italy or abroad): 30,000 euros.

The first application window runs from October 19, 2026, until November 18, 2026, with subsequent windows scheduled for 2027 and 2028.
