Sicily Municipalities Advance Road and Park Projects

The Longi municipal administration announced the completion of several road upgrades, including the Gazzana‑Passo Lavo stretch funded with €213,000, and ongoing maintenance on the Portella Gazzana‑Case Botti route with a €649,000 budget. A new adventure park has reopened, attracting early visitors and boosting local tourism. Additional works include the renovation of the Rinauda‑Santa Maria water network (€1.92 million) and the creation of a new equipped area for birdwatching and educational activities.

In Licata, the city council secured a 180‑day extension for the urban renewal of Piazza Attilio Regolo after the regional government approved the request. Mayor Angelo Balsamo highlighted that the extension accommodates summer heat restrictions, archaeological safeguards, and aims to minimise disruption for residents and businesses while allowing the project to continue without interruption.
