Sicily police investigate overnight vehicle fires in Noha and Licata

Multiple vehicle fires have been reported in the Sicily region of Italy, prompting investigations by local authorities.

In Noha, an overnight fire on via Agrigento destroyed a nine-passenger Mercedes Vito and a Seat Altea. The blaze also damaged a gate and building facades. Firefighters from Maglie intervened to secure the area and prevent further spread. Authorities from the Nardò and Galatina police stations, along with gas and electricity technicians, are investigating the cause.

In Licata, a Jaguar XF parked on via Nazario Sauro was completely destroyed by flames during the night. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and protect nearby structures. While police and firefighters have conducted initial inspections, no immediate evidence of flammable liquids or definitive signs of arson have been found. Investigators are working to determine if the incident was accidental or intentional.
