Sicily releases €1.8 million to families and businesses hit by Cyclone Harry
Irfs FinSicilia has approved payments of €1.8 million to 100 families and businesses in Sicily that were damaged by Cyclone Harry. The disbursement follows a regional injection of €3.2 million, earmarked by the Sicilian government under President Renato Schifani, who pledged that “no one will be left behind.” Payments were processed on the day of the announcement with a value date set for the following Monday.
The institute has also begun a procedural outreach to recipients of the remaining funds, requesting municipalities to submit the required C1 model appendix. Once the documentation is completed, the outstanding applications will be settled, completing the aid programme for those affected by the storm.
