Sicily sees leadership changes in Siulp union and Fare Ambiente
In Sicily, several organizational leadership changes have been announced. Francesco Giuffrida, a Chief Commissioner of the State Police and leader of the Siracusa Traffic Police, has been appointed as the head of State Police officials enrolled in the Siulp union for the province of Siracusa. Working alongside provincial secretary Tommaso Bellavia, Giuffrida aims to strengthen union dialogue and address the professional needs of police management and leadership.
Separately, the national organization Fare Ambiente has placed its Sicilian regional coordination, including the environmental guards and inspectors sector, under commissionership. Salvatore Braschi has been named extraordinary commissioner to lead the reorganization, supported by deputy commissioners Ferdinando Messina and Daniela Lima. This move follows an internal assessment by national president Vincenzo Pepe indicating a decline in member participation and associative activity in the region. The commission will oversee the restructuring of regional and provincial branches until new coordinators are elected for the 2027-2029 term.
