Sicily to host ‘Settimane Blu’ maritime festival

The itinerant festival ‘Settimane Blu’ (Blue Weeks) is scheduled to run from September 12 to October 25, 2026, across the southeastern coast of Sicily. Promoted by the GAC Dei Due Mari, the event focuses on the maritime and fishing identities of the coastal areas between Syracuse and Ragusa.

The festival will visit seven municipalities, with exhibition areas moving to different town squares each weekend. The itinerary includes Ispica, Pozzallo, Avola, Pachino, Modica, Noto, and Portopalo. Each stop will feature a two-day program with free admission from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Activities are designed to highlight local sea-based traditions and include thematic spaces such as the ‘Stanza del Mare’ (Room of the Sea), show cooking sessions, seafood tastings, exhibitions, workshops, and conferences with industry experts. The program also includes family-oriented spaces, immersive experiences, and short film screenings.
