Sicilian courts to host meetings on proximity justice project

A series of meetings regarding the “Uffici di Prossimità” (Proximity Offices) project will begin in Sicily this September. The initiative, titled “Uffici di Prossimità. La giustizia più vicina ai cittadini” (Proximity Offices. Justice closer to citizens), is a joint effort between the Sicilian Region and the Ministry of Justice, implemented by Formez.

The program aims to promote and increase awareness of proximity justice services activated throughout the Sicilian provinces. The first meeting is scheduled for September 4 at the Court of Ragusa. Subsequent meetings are planned for the Court of Patti on September 18 and the Court of Catania on September 23.

The project seeks to strengthen the network between the judiciary, local authorities, and social services, making these offices a recognizable point of reference for citizens. The meetings will involve institutional representatives, judicial experts, and local administrators to discuss the integration of these offices into the social and territorial fabric.
