Sicily to showcase rural heritage at Fieracavalli 2026

The Sicilian Region will participate in the Fieracavalli exhibition in Verona from November 5 to 8, 2026, under the theme “La Sicilia al passo.” The initiative, promoted by the Regional Department of Rural and Territorial Development and the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Mediterranean Fisheries, aims to highlight the connection between territory, animals, and community.

Key features of the presentation include the 130-kilometer Cammino di San Giacomo, a walking route spanning ten municipalities from Caltagirone to Capizzi. The program will focus on slow tourism, the protection of biodiversity, and the preservation of indigenous equine and donkey breeds. Additionally, the exhibition will showcase projects that utilize animals for social inclusion and educational experiences.

Through two exhibition spaces in pavilions 1 and 4, the region intends to demonstrate how natural and agricultural heritage can drive economic development and provide new opportunities for Sicily’s internal areas.
