BNDES allocates R$ 890 million for Espírito Santo road infrastructure

The BNDES has approved up to R$ 890 million in financing for road infrastructure improvements in Espírito Santo. The funds will support the implementation, paving, and rehabilitation of approximately 217 kilometers of state highways across the Greater Vitória region and the interior, including municipalities such as Divino de São Lourenço and Pancas. This operation is part of a larger R$ 1.4 billion financing package approved in 2025.

In the financial sector, the credit cooperative Sicredi has surpassed R$ 500 billion in total assets, positioning itself as the seventh-largest bank in Brazil. The institution has seen significant growth, nearly tripling its size in five years through branch expansion and increased credit. Additionally, Sicredi reported a 37% increase in green economy credit releases in Paraíba, reaching R$ 31.1 million in June 2026.

On the social front, the McDia Feliz campaign is being held this Saturday, August 22. The initiative raises funds through Big Mac sales to support pediatric oncology projects. Proceeds will benefit 69 projects managed by 49 institutions across Brazil, including the Casa Ronald McDonald Brasil and the Instituto Ayrton Senna. Specific regional efforts include the construction of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation center for the Associação Peter Pan in Fortaleza and the new Casa Ronald McDonald in Goiânia.
