SIC's 'Jornal da Noite' leads Portuguese primetime ratings and adds new summer rubrics

On July 29, 2026 the nightly news program "Jornal da Noite" on SIC recorded the highest audience share in Portugal’s prime‑time slot, achieving an 8.1 % rating and an 18.4 % share with 805,400 viewers. It outperformed rival programmes such as RTP1’s "Telejornal" and TVI’s "Jornal Nacional".

For the August summer schedule SIC announced several new segments for "Jornal da Noite", including "Santos da Casa" exploring local devotions, "Rally das Tascas" a road‑trip tasting series hosted by Hélder Correia, and "Capelas de Portugal" highlighting historic chapels. Returning features are "Aqui Há História", "Nos Confins do Mundo" and "A Minha Rua".
