SICT allocates 1,500 million pesos for Querétaro infrastructure

The Mexican Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) has allocated over 1,500 million pesos for infrastructure projects in Querétaro. Carlos García Villaseñor, the SICT delegate for the state, noted that this investment represents a significant increase compared to previous years, specifically highlighting that there was no federal investment in the entity during 2023 and 2024.

Key projects include the rehabilitation of Federal Highway 120 in the Sierra Gorda region and work on the Libramiento Surponiente. Specific allocations mentioned include 110 million pesos for Pinal de Amoles, 110 million pesos for Cadereyta de Montes, and 60 million pesos for San Joaquín. Additionally, 42 million pesos are being directed toward the Mexico-Querétaro passenger train project.
