SICT sets September 9 deadline for tow truck operator registration

The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), through the General Directorate of Federal Motor Transportation (DGAF), has announced that the deadline for tow truck and federal vehicle deposit permit holders to register in the Service Registration Information System (SIRSE) is September 9.

The SIRSE system is designed to increase transparency and certainty in service fees by allowing users to consult service descriptions and view automated cost calculations based on the SICT authorized rate schedule. Currently, more than 85% of authorized towing and salvage permit holders have registered, which the DGAF states provides sufficient capacity to handle incidents on federal highways.
