Sid Meier's Civilization VII gets 1.4.2 update with diplomacy overhaul and new Korean DLC

A 1.4.2 patch for Sid Meier's Civilization VII has been released on all major platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC, Mac and Linux. The update revamps the diplomacy system by expanding the options available in peace‑treaty negotiations, adding more trade items and redesigning the treaty UI for clearer, more intuitive interaction. Leader‑relationship displays have also been improved to give players finer control over diplomatic strategy.

The patch restores the previously removed ability to enable or disable specific victory conditions, allowing players to tailor the win‑criteria to their preferred play style. It also delivers the second part of the paid Brush & Blade collection, introducing the historical Korean leader Yi Sun‑sin and the new Goryeo and Joseon civilizations, further expanding the game’s Korean content.
