Siddharth discusses role versatility in streaming era

Actor Siddharth highlighted the creative freedom provided by the streaming era during a panel discussion at FICCI FRAMES in Mumbai. He noted that streaming platforms allow performers to move between vastly different roles within short timeframes, citing his recent work in two contrasting projects.

In the war drama series ‘Operation Safed Sagar’, Siddharth portrayed Ajay Ahuja, a decorated war hero. Within a 90-day period, he transitioned to playing Badru in Vishal Bhardwaj’s segment of the anthology film ‘Lust Stories 3’, a character who becomes the subject of a woman’s fantasy. Siddharth described the premise of ‘Lust Stories 3’ as ‘progressive’ because it addresses women’s desires.

The actor attributed this versatility to the trust and confidence directors place in performers. The discussion, which focused on audience demands and bold programming, also included filmmakers Suresh Triveni and Farah Khan, as well as Netflix India Vice-President of Content Monika Shergill.
