Siddipet police arrest seven for alleged sexual assault of minor

Police in Telangana’s Siddipet district have arrested seven individuals, including three juveniles, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl. The incident reportedly occurred on the day of Dasara in a village within the Doulmitta mandal while the victim's parents were working in nearby agricultural fields.

According to authorities, the accused allegedly took the girl to a neighboring village against her will and held her overnight before leaving her near her own village the following morning. The matter came to light after the victim disclosed the assault to her parents, leading her father to file a formal complaint.

A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. All seven suspects have been produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody. Law enforcement officials conducted drug tests on the accused, which reportedly showed no signs of drug consumption.
