SIDeMaST launches national atopic dermatitis awareness campaign

The sixth edition of the national awareness campaign “Dalla parte della tua pelle” (On your skin's side) will take place between October 10 and October 24, 2026. Promoted by SIDeMaST (Italian Society of Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases) and supported by ANDea (National Atopic Dermatitis Association), the initiative aims to improve early diagnosis and awareness of atopic dermatitis.

Free dermatological consultations will be offered at 21 university hospital centers across Italy. The program includes adolescents aged 12 and older, a group significantly impacted by the condition. In Ancona, consultations will be held at AOU delle Marche on October 15. In the Lazio region, sessions are scheduled at various institutions including IFO Istituto Dermatologico San Gallicano, Gemelli IRCCS, Sapienza AOU Policlinico Umberto I, and the Istituto Neurotraumatologico Italiano in Grottaferrata.

To access these consultations, users must complete an online pre-screening via the dedicated SIDeMaST website. This process allows patients to fill out a questionnaire and upload photographs of affected areas to assist in the evaluation. Successful applicants will receive instructions to contact a dedicated toll-free number to confirm availability.
