Siderno administration reviews municipal beach plan

The administration of Siderno, led by Mayor Mariateresa Fragomeni, is reviewing and updating the Municipal Beach Plan. During a meeting with local seaside industry operators on September 25, officials discussed the need to align urban planning with the current physical state of the coastline.

The review is prompted by significant marine weather events earlier this year that altered the coastline, making the 2021 plan potentially inconsistent with the actual shoreline and the 2024 Municipal Structural Plan. The administration aims to develop a unified territorial system, or waterfront, that harmonizes the beach with local infrastructure, mobility systems, green spaces, and natural areas.
