Siderno councilor seeks clarity on school construction and class transfers

In Siderno, local councilor Antonio Cosimo Pio Trimboli of the Area Moderata has filed a written inquiry regarding the status of construction projects at the ‘Michele Bello’ school complex. The inquiry seeks clarity on the temporary transfer of seven classes to the ‘Marconi’ institute and the overall timeline for scheduled school infrastructure improvements.

Two major projects are planned for the ‘Michele Bello’ site: the construction of a new school canteen and kitchen, including external area improvements and rainwater management, valued at 880,000 euros; and the seismic upgrading of ‘Body B’ of the primary school, with a total budget of 1.69 million euros (comprising 1.496 million euros in ministerial funding and 194,000 euros in municipal co-financing).

The inquiry specifically questions the lack of a certain return date for the transferred classes and asks whether the construction schedules have faced extensions or modifications. Additionally, the councilor raised concerns regarding student safety, specifically the separation between construction sites and school activities, noise and dust management, and emergency procedures.
