Siderno hosts painting contest to honor sculptor Giuseppe Correale

The municipality of Siderno and the Giuseppe Correale Association are organizing the fifth edition of an extemporaneous painting competition to honor the renowned sculptor Giuseppe Correale. This year’s theme is ‘The female figure in the art of Correale.’

The event coincides with the centenary of the artist's birth. Participating artists will register their canvases at the YMCA before moving to designated locations to create their works. A jury led by Gianluca Sità will evaluate the submissions.

A ceremony and exhibition will take place at the Villa Comunale, where winners will be announced. Cash prizes include €700 for first place, €500 for second, €350 for third, and a special prize of €150 for the youth category (ages 13 to 16).
