Siderópolis officials and Casan discuss Rio São Bento Dam safety

Local authorities in Siderópolis held a meeting with Casan and community members to discuss the Rio São Bento Dam. The dialogue focused on safety measures, infrastructure, and tourism management for the area.

While the dam has addressed long-standing water supply issues in the region, residents have been requesting improvements to the surrounding area for approximately 20 years. During the meeting, the community presented a petition requesting the implementation of a lookout point, a parking lot, and improvements to the local water supply. Discussions also included the reactivation of the Intermunicipal Council for the Use of the Surroundings.
