Sidiki Cherif transfers from Fenerbahçe to Coventry City
Fenerbahçe has reached an agreement to transfer Guinean striker Sidiki Cherif to Premier League side Coventry City. The 19-year-old, who joined Fenerbahçe from Angers last season, moves to the English club in a deal that represents one of the highest sales in Fenerbahçe's history.
Reports indicate the transfer involves a base fee of approximately €25 million to €27 million, with an additional €3 million available in performance-based bonuses. Furthermore, Fenerbahçe has secured a 17.5 per cent sell-on clause for any future transfer of the player.
Coventry City manager Frank Lampard aims to bolster his squad's attacking capabilities as the club prepares for life in the Premier League. Cherif's move follows a period where he was highly rated as a top attacking talent.
