Sidiki Diabaté launches Grand Boucan International

Malian kora virtuoso Sidiki Diabaté has inaugurated a new musical program titled ‘Grand Boucan International’ on RFI. The launch, which took place on October 28, 2026, featured a live session with his orchestra performing tracks such as ‘Volonté de Dieu’, ‘Reviens-moi’, and ‘Mandé Foli’.

As a member of the 72nd generation of griots, Diabaté aims to integrate the traditional kora into modern musical productions to reach younger audiences. This cultural milestone follows the release of his 28-track album ‘Kora Lover’ and precedes his scheduled concert at the Accor Arena on November 4, 2026.
