Sidney Starr arrested in Georgia on child sexual assault charges

Reality‑TV personality Sidney Starr was taken into custody in Hapeville, Georgia, after police responded to an Embassy Suites hotel following a report that a minor had been sexually assaulted. The Hapeville Police Department obtained a warrant and arrested Starr on August 2, charging her with sexual battery against a child under 16, aggravated child molestation and sodomy.

According to the police report, a pat‑down search uncovered an opened condom that fell from Starr’s clothing and another condom in her pocket, which investigators are treating as evidence. Starr told officers that a tall Black man approached her in the lobby, claimed to be 18 years old, and later accompanied her to her hotel room, after which the alleged encounter with the minor allegedly occurred. Starr denies the allegations, stating she will vigorously defend herself and urging the public not to stigmatize the transgender community. She remains in custody while the case proceeds.
