Sidney Swierenga wins Giro della Toscana

Canadian cyclist Sidney Swierenga has won the 30th edition of the Giro della Toscana. Representing the Polish team Liv Alula Jayco, the 19-year-old secured the overall victory after maintaining her lead through the final, most challenging stage.

The final stage spanned 146 kilometers from Lucca to Montecatini Terme, featuring eight mountain climbs. Swierenga finished sixth in the stage, successfully controlling attacks from key competitors including Emily Dixon, Eisen Malou, and Nadia Quagliotto.

Victoire Berteau of the Cofidis Women Team won the final stage in a sprint, followed by Nadia Quagliotto and Xaydee Van Sinaey. Quagliotto finished sixth in the general classification. Swierenga noted that this marks her first significant victory in a stage race this season.
