Sidoarjo Regency Hosts Governance Forum and Enrolls 42,210 Vulnerable Workers in BPJS

The Sidoarjo Regency Government partnered with Indonesia's Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to hold a "Ngopi" (smart coffee) forum aimed at strengthening local autonomy and improving financial management. The event, held at Pendopo Delta Wibawa on 5 August 2026, featured Kemendagri directors Dr. Drs. Agus Fatoni and Dr. Cheka Virgowansyah, as well as Sidoarjo Secretary of Government Dr. Fenny Apridawati, who emphasized transparent, accountable administration.

On the same day, Vice Regent Hj. Mimik Idayana presented BPJS Ketenagakerjaan membership cards to representatives of 42,210 vulnerable workers—including online‑motorbike drivers, farmers, fishermen, and waste‑management staff—who were enrolled in the Work Accident and Death Insurance programs. The contributions were fully funded by the regional tobacco‑tax revenue, underscoring the administration's focus on social protection alongside infrastructure development.
