Sidoarjo Regency implements digital parking to boost revenue
The Sidoarjo Regency Government is intensifying efforts to improve digital parking discipline to increase transparency and optimize regional original income (PAD). Sidoarjo Regent Subandi stated that parking attendants must adhere to retribution deposit regulations and provide polite service to the public.
Under the current agreement, parking revenue is split with 40 percent allocated to attendants and 60 percent to the local government. The administration aims to transition all parking systems to non-cash payments via QRIS by 2027. To monitor activities and retribution collection, the government will utilize monitoring dashboards and CCTV cameras. Subandi warned that attendants who fail to comply with the digitalization process after two warnings may face termination of their cooperation.
