Sidrolândia leads Ceasa-MS in fruit and vegetable supply

Sidrolândia has emerged as the leading supplier to Ceasa-MS, ranking first in the state for the supply of fruits, vegetables, and legumes between January and May of this year. The municipality commercialized approximately 943,658 kilograms of produce during this period.

This leadership is attributed to the strength of family farming, which occupies roughly 80,000 hectares in the region. To support these producers, the Sidrolândia City Hall has implemented various initiatives, including technical assistance and the provision of free transportation for agricultural products to the Ceasa market.

Mayor Rodrigo Basso noted that free transportation reduces one of the primary costs for rural families, ensuring that local production reaches major consumer markets. The municipal transport service also supports the production cycle by moving essential materials such as seeds, feed, fertilizers, and lime to rural properties.
