Siegwerk expands production capacity in the U.S. and Canada

Siegwerk, a global manufacturer of printing inks and coatings, is expanding its production capacity and infrastructure across the United States and Canada. This expansion is part of the company’s ‘Formula 2030’ strategic agenda, which aims to modernize its global production network to increase competitiveness and supply chain resilience.

In Des Moines, Iowa, the company is modernizing milling and blending equipment and implementing new white and color production systems to enable efficient inline batch production. Additionally, Siegwerk recently broke ground on a new warehouse facility to increase storage capacity for solvent-based operations and support flexible packaging demand.

At its site in Morganton, North Carolina, Siegwerk is investing in water-based and UV-based inkjet production capabilities, with completion expected in 2026. These investments are intended to enhance operational flexibility and meet evolving customer needs in the packaging and label sectors.
