Siemen Voet emerges as top scorer for 1. FC Saarbrücken

Belgian central defender Siemen Voet has achieved a remarkable scoring record during his early tenure with 1. FC Saarbrücken in Germany's 3. Liga. In his first seven competitive matches, the 26-year-old has scored four goals, making him the most prolific defender in the league and the top scorer for his club.

Voet, who developed in the Club Brugge youth academy and has played for clubs including KV Mechelen, PEC Zwolle, Fortuna Sittard, and Slovan Bratislava, previously played in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid. After a stint with 1860 München, he joined Saarbrücken this past summer. He recently secured a victory for his team with a last-second goal against Sonnenhof Großaspach.
