Siemens Campus Erlangen Completed, Marking €1 Billion Investment in Germany
Siemens announced the completion of Module 8, finalising the Siemens Campus Erlangen after more than a decade of planning and construction. The €1 billion investment, made since 2014, consolidates the company's offices in the Nürnberg region into a new urban quarter that now hosts around 16,000 Siemens employees.
The campus features 18 new buildings, including reception and laboratory facilities, and incorporates regenerative energy, rain‑water reuse, roof greening and intelligent building technology to achieve nearly carbon‑neutral operation. Restaurants and shops are intended to make the site a public meeting point.
Looking ahead, Siemens plans to develop a Siemens Technology Campus on the site, committing another half‑billion euros through 2030 to create logistics, service, flexible‑automation, and innovation centres for power electronics and production.
