Siemens Energy appoints Pekka Lundmark to supervisory board
Siemens Energy has announced a change to its supervisory board. Matthias Rebellius will step down from the board on September 30, 2026, following his departure from the Siemens AG executive board. The Munich District Court has appointed former Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark as his successor, effective October 1, 2026. Shareholders are expected to formally elect Lundmark at the annual general meeting on February 25, 2027.
Lundmark brings extensive experience in technology, energy, digitalization, and artificial intelligence, having previously served as CEO of the Finnish utility Fortum and at Konecranes.
This leadership transition occurs alongside reports of an operational turnaround at Siemens Energy. The company has recently seen double-digit revenue growth, increased operating margins, a record order backlog, and a net cash position, marking a significant shift from the previous crisis involving Siemens Gamesa.
