Siemens Healthineers and JUNAEB deliver computers to Chile schools

Siemens Healthineers partnered with Fundación Acrux to donate a set of new computers to the Escuela Rural Toquihue in Victoria, Chile. The contribution replaces three obsolete shared units with a dedicated device for each student, helping the school that had previously faced the risk of closure to maintain enrollment and improve academic performance. Executive Roberto Levin of Fundación Acrux and Managing Director Ekaterina Podnebesnova highlighted the initiative as a joint effort to close the digital gap in rural communities.

Separately, Chile’s national education agency JUNAEB continued its Becas TIC 2026 rollout, handing out more than 560 new notebooks to seventh‑grade pupils in the Los Andes province. The distribution, part of a nationwide program that will provide over 96,000 computers to students across the country, aims to guarantee free internet connectivity for 12 months and support digital learning in public schools.
