Siemens Healthineers is restructuring its ultrasound business to prioritize future technologies, specifically focusing on interventional imaging and image-guided therapies. The strategic shift moves away from broad ultrasound marketing toward specialized applications that integrate real-time image data with therapeutic decision-making.

The company will place increased emphasis on cardiovascular interventions, intracardiac echocardiography (ICE), software, and artificial intelligence. Despite this narrowing of scope, established products and platforms, such as the Acuson Origin and the P500 system, will remain part of the company's portfolio.
